IWCC Rates
Workers’ Compensation rates are calculated based on the statewide average weekly wage as computed by the Department Of Employment Security. The State average weekly wage is modified every six months and the Workers' Compensation rates are recalculated in conjunction with the modification. Although every attempt is made to calculate the Workers' Compensatoin rates in an accurate and reliable manner, only the Illinois Statute governs Workers' Compensation law. Where there is a disagreement between the Statute and the calculations and explanations on the rate sheet, the Statute is correct.
